Method 01

Kapoor Aarti

Place a small, suitable piece of pooja camphor in the clean, dry brass bowl and light it carefully.

Hold the wooden handle securely and offer the burning camphor before your deity according to your family's aarti tradition.

Method 02

Ghee / Oil Batti Aarti

Fill the brass bowl with a suitable quantity of ghee or diya oil. Place a cotton batti so that its tip rests along the projecting wick spout.

Allow the wick to absorb the fuel, then light the exposed tip carefully. Perform aarti while holding the wooden handle.

Use either camphor or ghee/oil with a cotton wick at a time. Allow the lamp to cool and clean it before switching methods.

Care & Maintenance

After completing aarti, place the lamp on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Allow the entire brass body, connecting stem and wooden handle to cool before cleaning.

Remove any remaining camphor or wick residue gently. Wipe the brass surface using a soft cloth and avoid abrasive scrubbers or harsh chemicals. Keep the wooden handle dry.

Brass can naturally develop a patina over time. Regular gentle cleaning helps maintain its appearance.

Important: Use one lighting method at a time. Never add camphor to burning oil or ghee, or pour additional fuel onto an active flame. Burn camphor only in a well-ventilated area. Use small, controlled quantities of fuel and keep the lamp away from children, pets, loose clothing and flammable materials. Never leave a burning diya unattended. The brass body, connecting stem and wooden handle may become hot during use. Dimensions are approximate. Cotton wicks, camphor, ghee, oil and photographic styling accessories are not included unless otherwise specified.
